This series began with a focus on the early stages of the painting process, dedicating myself entirely to the art of drawing. Observing the different stages of creation has always been of much interest to me. At this point in time, I’m not sure how far these pieces will be taken, yet that’s part their appeal… Could these works be shown as is? Do they require a higher level of finish? And, most importantly, how does the finish of these works relate to the message they seek to bring to the viewer?
As the message is becoming clearer to me with each piece, it is currently impossible for me to answer these questions. There are many more pieces to come, and through those works, I hope to begin to answer these challenging questions.
